EVERY BIT OF A PRACTICAL SOLUTION TOWARDS THE MITIGATION OF CLIMATE CHANGE INURES TO THE BENEFIT OF THE ENTIRE POPULATION OF THE GLOBE & ITS ECOSYSTEMS WHETHER THE EFFORT IS MADE FROM SOUTH-AFRICA, CHINA OR VENEZUELA. IT IS A COMMON FIGHT WITH A COMMON "END GOAL".

OUR MAJOR GOAL

    As Climate activists, we have adopted the Paris Accord's goal to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels by 2030. We have in mind to help keep that goal within our sight.

    Global warming is likely to be the greatest cause of species extinctions this century. According to the IPCC (INTER-GOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE), a 1.5°C average rise may put 20-30% of species at risk of extinction. If the planet warms by more than 2°C, most ecosystems will struggle.

    Holding this rise to 1.5°C avoids the worst effects compared to a rise by 2°C. A warming of even 1.5 degrees will still result in large-scale drought, famine, heat stress, species die-off, loss of entire ecosystems, and the loss of habitable land throwing more than 100 million into poverty, but the effects of a 2°C rise will be far more catastrophic.

Also, the effects will be much more drastic in arid regions including the Middle East and the Sahel in Africa. Although Fresh water will remain in some areas following a 1.5°C rise in temperatures, fresh water is expected to dry up completely if the rise reaches 2°C which will be a calamity.

Also, "limiting global warming to 1.5°C compared with 2°C would reduce challenging impacts on ecosystems, human health and well-being" and a 2°C temperature increase would exacerbate extreme weather, rising sea levels and diminishing Arctic Sea ice, coral bleaching, and loss of ecosystems, among other impacts.

         Oceans are vital ‘carbon sinks’, meaning that they absorb huge amounts of carbon dioxide by preventing it from reaching the upper atmosphere. Increased water temperatures and higher carbon dioxide concentrations than normal makes oceans more acidic and its already having an impact on oceans. Oceans are already experiencing large-scale changes at a warming of 1°C, with critical thresholds expected to be reached at 1.5°C and above. Coral reefs are projected to decline by a further 70-90% at 1.5°C. At a warming of 2°C, virtually all coral reefs will be lost. It’s not only a tragedy for wildlife: around half a billion people rely on fish from coral reefs as their main source of protein.

        According to the IPCC, in all scenarios in line with 1.5°C or 2°C warming limits, global emissions must fall between 2020 and 2025. In reality, emissions are still rising, with atmospheric levels of the three main greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide) all reaching new record highs in 2021. Every fractional degree of warming translates into escalating climate impacts for vulnerable communities across the world, and moves the planet closer to irreversible ‘tipping points’ at which unpredictable destabilization will occur. And at PLANET GREEN EVO-TECH we join the fight to help the Planet achieve this all-important Goal.

 

Race to Net Zero: Carbon Neutral Goals

While governments of major nations around the globe are focusing on efforts to become carbon neutral, in 2021, only one country stood alone as being the only carbon NEGATIVE country. That is the Kingdom of Bhutan. Recently, Suriname and Panama have been added to the list to make them the only 3 Carbon Negative countries in the world.

 

Three Carbon-Negative Countries

 

BHUTAN, SURINAME & PANAMA

 

Since the signing of the Paris Agreement, an inspiring number of countries have publicly declared net-zero pledges and deadline-imposed commitments to reducing carbon emissions. The overarching goal is to limit the global average temperature to below 1.5 degrees Celsius, and in so doing, slow the effects of climate change. Three countries in particular have pioneered the path and serve as trailblazing examples to the rest of the world that it can, in fact, be done.

 

Bhutan

With over 70% of the country being covered in trees, Bhutan makes history as the first country to be named carbon-negative – yes, you read that right! The expansive forest acts as a natural carbon sink, absorbing more carbon emissions than the country itself emits. Their success stems back to the environmental protections enshrined in their constitution, empowering the country to enact legislation in the dual and interconnected interest of their environment and their people. It is also worth noting that most of Bhutan’s energy is sourced from hydroelectric power. In fact, the country produces so much hydroelectric power that it is able to sell to neighboring countries, further offsetting an additional 4.4 M tons of annual carbon emissions. By 2025, Bhutan aims to increase its sales of hydroelectric power in the pursuit of a projected offset of 22.4 M tons of carbon emissions annually. In a momentous feat, Bhutan has produced enough energy to work with neighboring countries in providing clean energy and offset carbon emissions, outside of their own environmental efforts.

 

Suriname

Another country that can proudly claim carbon-negativity is Suriname — a small nation on the northeast coast of South America. Similar to Bhutan, 93% of Suriname is covered in forest, resulting in higher levels of carbon absorption than emissions. Suriname’s new climate commitment endeavors focus on the following four areas of concern: forests, electricity, agriculture, and transportation. Suriname has pledged to consistently maintain its share of electricity from renewable sources above 35% by 2030. Current projects include the development of climate smart farming, such as water resource management and sustainable land management. Suriname has also vowed to revamp their public transportation system and introduce new sustainability measures, in an effort to regulate and decrease vehicle emissions.

 

Panama

Last, but certainly not least, Panama is the only other country, besides Bhutan and Suriname, to achieve carbon negative status. 65% of Panama is covered in forest; meaning, similar to Bhutan and Suriname, the nation is absorbing more carbon emissions than it is emitting. The country has a goal of advancing a clean-energy push by embracing ethanol in its gasoline, and eradicating any use of heavy fuels and coal for its power plants by 2023. Furthermore, the Panama Canal began tracking their carbon footprint back in 2013, with the goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2030, further contributing to the country’s efforts to remain carbon negative.

 

The three countries have formed a carbon-negative coalition, working together to keep each other accountable in maintaining their respective climate goals and commitments. Bhutan, Suriname, and Panama have led by example, who will be next?

        With so many Cabon positive countries out there, it will be pragmatic to take a realistic and holistic approach towards tackling GLOBAL WARMING with Technology and Solutions that will help reduce the effects of our daily lifestyle (Hazardous Emissions) as well as Restorative measures (Carbon Capture) that make a meaningful and gainful impact.

       Our ability to Integrate our practical working solutions into already existing technology like combustion engines of all types to mitigate the effects of GLOBAL WARMING and help in the "DRIVE" and "FIGHT" against CO2 EMISSIONS is what we strive to be our hallmark. Here at PLANET GREEN EVO-TECH, we take a 3-step approach with the help of our sister affiliate, “PLANET GREEN EVO-FOUNDATION (A NON-PROFIT FOUNDATION)” to attain a real meaningful impact. We use our unique (R-C-R) approach to attain actual result oriented global benefit.

 

REDUCE -CAPTURE- REPAIR (R-C-R)

 

1) REDUCE: Our Technology reduces emissions that would go on to exacerbate Climate Change and Warm up the Planet. A guaranteed “MINIMUM" of the following:

1. 40% reduction in CO2 emissions (CARBON DIOXIDE)  

2. 18% reduction in CO emissions (CARBON MONOXIDE)  

3. 14% reduction in HC emissions (HYDRO CARBON)  

4. 15% reduction in NOx emissions (NITROUS OXIDE)  

5. 70% reduction in PARTICULATE MATTER (Particulate Matter is the “solid particles and liquid droplets” in the exhaust of diesel engines, more commonly referred to as “soot”)

WHAT’S MORE, there is a 33.3% reduction in Fuel usage. We save 33% worth of fuel that would have had to be burned (Less Hydrocarbons to release emissions).

We cannot pretend that the total transitioning from combustion powered vehicles to electric vehicles (EV’s) will take a short period of time. It's unlikely that combustion engines will be completely replaced by electric vehicles within the next few decades either. Some automakers are aiming to phase out gasoline car sales by 2035, while others may take until 2045-2050. However, the complete transition to electric vehicles will likely take longer than that, with some estimates suggesting it could take until the mid-2050s or even later. 

        So, at PLANET GREE EVO TECH we believe and support the total transitioning to Electric Vehicles in future, but we first have to phase out combustion powered vehicles in the short to medium term with Technology that will reduce their emissions within that time frame.

 

 

2) CAPTURE: We limit the amount of CARBON released into the atmosphere by installing a device that traps carbon soot particles as particulate filters that are fitted onto vehicles exhaust tail pipes of “COMMERCIAL DIESEL VEHICLES” which are periodically recalled for Cleansing & Carbon Deposit Removal. At PLANET GREEN EVO-TECH, captured carbon particles are recycled as INK, PAINTS and ORGANIC FERTILIZERS.

       Our Soot/Carbon-based fertilizers are useful products to use in organic farming as it contains Carbon, Nitrogen, Potash and Sulphur. Other Organic components are added to our fertilizers to make them extra potent. These Fertilizers come in handy in the final stage of our R-C-R approach.

 

3) REPAIR: Our Affiliate "PLANET GREEN EVO-FOUNDATION” (our left arm non-profit organization) helps by creating a network of CARBON SINKS around the Globe as part of our Carbon Capture Approach Program. Each Free beneficiary of our Technological system is trained and certified to become Climate change ambassadors of the foundation, who are supervised to plant 100 trees "prior to them benefitting from our system". Our initial goal is to have 10,000 beneficiaries to plant 100 trees each = 1 million (1,000,000) trees in the first year. From year 2, we target 100,000 beneficiaries with 10 million Trees targeted (30 Trees are planted by the participants with the remaining 70 trees planted on their behalf by ambassadors and volunteers of PLANET GREEN EVO-FOUNDATION to accommodate participants with busy schedules. However, those willing to go through with planting 100 trees each will be rewarded with Badges and Special certificates from PLANET GREEN EVO-FOUNDTION).

 

IN SIMPLE TERMS:

 

1. WE RETROFIT (FOR FREE) ALREADY EXISTING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES WHICH ARE CHIEFLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MAJORITY OF CO2 POLLUTION IN OUR ATMOSPHERE WITH A SYSTEM THAT WILL REDUCE THEIR EMISSIONS NOW AND IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE WHILE PUMPING OXYGEN & WATER BACK INTO THE ATMOSPHERE AS HARMLESS BYPRODUCTS.

We retrofit the engines with our technological system to create a " DUAL INJECTION HYBRID " which significantly reduces a vehicle's carbon production output and significantly reduces its fuel consumption (an increases in fuel economy). There are general reductions in CARBON DIOXIDE, CARBON MONOXIDE, HYDROCARBON, NITROGEN OXIDE EMISSIONS & PARTICULATE MATTER.

 

(2) WE INSTALL (FOR FREE) DEVICES THAT TRAP CARBON SOOT PARTICLES AS PARTICULATE FILTERS THAT ARE FITTED ONTO EXHAUST TAIL PIPES OF COMMERCIAL DIESEL VEHICLES WHICH ARE PERIODICALLY RECALLED FOR CLEANSING & CARBON DEPOSIT REMOVAL TO BE RECYCLED AS ORGANIC FERTILIZERS, PAINTS AND INKS.

 

(3) WE MAKE THE BENEFICIARIES OF OUR SYSTEM, PLANT  100 (ONE HUNDRED) TREES EACH, IN SELECTED AREAS TO PROVIDE A NETWORK OF CARBON SINKS TO AID IN THE CARBON CAPTURE OF THE POLLUTANTS IN OUR ATMOSPHERE (CO2 MAINLY).
